Jacqueline Burke. Counsellor/Psychotherapist MBACP (Accred) & Supervisor.

I am an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist offering brief or longer term therapy for INDIVIDUAL ADULTS 18+ and COUPLES.
I provide a safe and therapeutic environment offering support and guidance, where you can talk freely, honestly and in confidence about what is concerning you.
My work with Individual Adults is a collaborative process offering an empathic, honest and non-judgmental therapy that is focused on the client's needs.
I work with my clients to create a warm counselling relationship which encourages clients to work through their issues and feel better about themselves enabling choice and change.
Therapeutic intervention can help rebuild self esteem leading to a more positive outlook and a greater understanding of ourselves.
The experience I gained from working in the NHS enables me to offer clients brief solution focused therapy of 6 to 8 sessions for depression, anxiety, low self esteem, anger management, relationship issues, bereavement, abuse and much more.
Longer term therapy is also available for clients which is tailored to meet individual needs and requirements.
When working with Couples a common issue that has an effect on the shared relationship is how you talk to each other. Has your style of communicating over time become very negative? Do you feel heard, are you being listened to? When you are feeling insecure in your relationship does what you say and do bring your partner closer to you or push them further away? When effective communication is achieved between two people then dialogue about the issues effecting the relationship can often be heard more positively, enabling Couples to work through their problems more effectively.
I offer Individual 'ONE to ONE' Counselling Therapy, COUPLES Counselling Therapy, NLP concepts and Gestalt Dreamwork. I am also an accredited Therapeutic Coach.
If you are not sure what counselling is or whether it might help you, then please feel free to call me for a confidential chat and we can talk about what is bothering you. This may help you decide if coming for counselling therapy is what you want to do.
