About me

I offer face to face, telephone, video link and online counselling, to clients who may still be effected by Covid and the changes it brought to all our lives.

Sometimes the need to talk to someone is often thought about, but not always followed through. It can be very difficult to talk to a partner, family member or friend about things that are affecting us.
We hold ourselves back, from expressing how we really feel, from fear of being a burden or causing worry to them or in some cases, fear of making the problem worse.

Contacting me may feel daunting and a large step to take, but it may well be the best thing you ever did.
You may think contacting a counsellor means you've failed. This isn't so, you've just asked for help from someone who is qualified in all areas of an issue that's being experienced at this point in your life.

I have worked with many clients, who experience all types of issues for example Abuse, Depression, Anxiety & Panic Attacks, Confidence - Low Self Esteem and Self Worth, Relationship Difficulties, Issues from Childhood, Bereavement, Illness, Alcohol PTSD.

I also work with clients who have been Romantically Scammed through no fault of their own. I help them regain their confidence and rebuild their self esteem and self belief .

The type of therapy I use to help you is intervention, using different models to guide you through understanding of your present situation. These models are CBT, Person Centred, Psychodynamics and Transactional Analysis, which allows a personal therapy plan that is best for you.

I also Use EFT and EMDR for Anxiety Depression Addictions and PTSD

My experience from running my private counselling business over the years has allowed me to help and support individuals, couples and teenagers. I also work with families, to assist with relationship breakdowns and any other problems they may be experiencing.

My specialties are:

  • Depression
  • Anger Management
  • Bereavement
  • All Types of relationship problems (both couple and individual)
  • Stress, Anxiety, and Panic Attacks
  • Addictions
  • OCD
  • Eating Disorders.
  • PTSD

I will give you a safe, confidential place, to express then explore issues that stem from  thoughts, feelings and behaviours and your childhood. I will help you work through your issue, assisting you to learn and understand, who you are and who you want to become.
You will gain new insights to the reasons you felt out of sorts, which then enables you to move forward in your life with a more positive outlook.

A counselling session takes place, in a specially allocated room in my private practise. Complete confidentiality is given and you will feel you can express without feeling judged in any way. You will find me very emphatic, supportive, understanding. someone you can trust.

You will be encouraged to  talk at your own pace, only touching on areas you feel comfortable discussing at the time. I will also encourage you, to explore all your concerns.
