Dr Emma Haynes PhD MSc UKCP PTSTA CTA
I am a psychotherapist in the Winchester area providing a specialist perinatal mental health psychotherapy service to women, men, couples and families suffering from any kind of perinatal (pregnancy and post childbirth) mental health difficulty. I am particularly interested in bonding, attachment, relationship issues and perinatal depression, stress and anxiety. I work with couples and families who are having relationship difficulties or family issues and parents who are struggling with postnatal depression and parent infant bonding (both mums and dads). I have many years experience working with trauma clients and use EMDR and body psychotherapy as well as traditional psychotherapy. I also have experience of working with clients who have fertility difficulties or are suffering bereavement through the death of a child either during pregnancy or at any stage of life.
My aim is to enable a client(s) to get through whatever difficulty with pregnancy, fertility, giving birth and becoming a parent, working with them to enhance their family life, and to help them through their particular anxieties, trauma or negative events. I also have experience working as a Family Mediator with couples, although I no longer offer this as a service.
The biggest joy in my work is to see a client regain their mojo and begin to improve their self worth, enhancing the way they feel about themselves and others and also enabling them to achieve greater success in their working life, their relationships, their family and personal life. I am a relational Transational Analysis.
