Are you suffering with any of the following: Stress, Anxiety, Depression,Bereavement, Relationship and family issues? Perhaps you have experienced a betrayal or an affair in your relationship? Maybe you are recently separated or divorced and struggling to cope? If the answer is yes then help is only a telephone call away.
Are you concerned about managing your anger? I work extensively with anger issues and particularly in the workplace where anger can so easily become difficult to manage in our modern, stressful society. Would you like help with this? I have considerable experience of counselling within a workplace setting.
Sometimes you can feel alone with your problems, and this is where counselling can be particularly helpful. It can be very thought provoking, life changing and empowering. When you feel you don't want to burden your family and friends, or that there is no one to turn to then counselling can help you find another way of seeing things more clearly, and can help you discover what is important for you and what you would like to achieve.
Counsellors not only help people make important changes to their lives but they enable them to live more comfortably with situations that cannot easily be changed. Counsellors are trained to listen and to help people work through their issues. It can enable you to explore yourself and the things that are troubling you within a relationship built on trust and respect in a non judgemental and confidential environment.
I was awarded Personal Accreditation from the governing body BACP having successfully completed the rigorous process to achieve the standards required. The BACP state that "Accreditation is not for the newly qualified practitioner. It is a quality standard for the mature, experienced practitioner who wishes to demonstrate their knowledge, experience and understanding of what they do and why".
Sessions are normally weekly and the first session is for us to talk briefly about what has brought you to counselling and whether you feel able to work with me to explore this further. I offer short and long term counselling dependent upon individual requirements.
I am a BUPA recognised therapist.
