About me
Life is never straight forward is it...... it can be challenging to say the least, never more so than when we feel truly up against it, whether this is due to stress, anxiety or suddenly being faced with a life changing event. We are creatures of habit, we don't like to bother people with our worries, after all, they probably have enough of their own don't they......? Sometimes, we just need to be listened to, to offload, to find some clarity through a muddling or worrying time or to just be able to express our sadness without feeling guilty or self indulgent.
In my years in practice, I have worked with many clients who have presented with a range of different issues and concerns, including bereavement, low self esteem, anxiety, social phobia, depression, panic and couples in crisis. I have also worked with young people experiencing problems with addiction and self harm or some who have just lost direction.
I also have extensive experience of working with children, both in a school environment and in practice; anger, behavioural problems or divorce/separation of parents and bereavement.
If you would like to know more about the counselling process and how it may benefit you please email me with your contact details and I will get back to you...

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
