Carol Thomas MBACP (Accred)
I am a very experienced BACP accredited counsellor working privately and in the NHS.
I graduated from the highly regarded WPF training and have a great deal of experience over thirteen years of counselling. I hope that I can help you to find your own strengths and solutions that will make more sense of your life and the way you want to live it.
I am also a creative artist and have learned through my passion for art, my training, and own personal journey that there are many perspectives in life.... Every person is unique with their own history, so together we can reflect to find YOUR best solution and meaning.
I will listen to you carefully and try to understand how you are feeling.
You may be able to share things that you cannot say to family or friends; anxious panicked or depressed. I provide a safe space and place to work through things that you may be frightened or even ashamed about. My style is to help you to be creative and together we may find new ways to look at things whilst recognizing and understanding the physiology of the body when stressed.
I will always respect your values, your freedom of choice, your sexuality, cultural background and your individuality.
To begin you can email or telephone me at any time for a short conversation to see if counselling is for you.
We can then arrange an exploratory meeting where we can discuss:the
*Your reasons for coming and what you want to achieve.
*How counselling works.
*Agree fees, timings and frequency of counselling sessions.
*Answer any question and worries you may have about the process.
we can get to know each other so that you can decide if you feel comfortable enough and want to continue.

My normal fee is around £40 per session although in some circumstances we may agree a different fee. All fees are reviewed annually.
My consulting room is in a quiet village location at Abridge. Parking is freely available at my premises.
Abridge is well connected by road to north and east London and is only 2 miles from Theydon Bois Central Line tube station. It is very accessible by road from most parts of Essex and south and east Hertfordshire.
The room has an independent entrance and is fully accessible to those with disabilities.
