About me

Hello, I wonder how I can help you? I am a warm, caring and experienced Counsellor, and offer a safe and accepting space for you to explore your feelings and the difficulties you may be facing.

I am able to help with a wide range of issues and have experience working with clients of all ages. I work at my home office in Great Bromley (CO7), within easy reach of Colchester, Clacton, Harwich, Ipswich and surrounding areas. Appointments are available between 8am and 3pm.

I work with adults and young people in a truly holistic way and understand that when we experience problems which leave us feeling unhappy, confused or worried it can be difficult to know what to do for the best. I offer understanding and encouragement, without judgement or expectation. Working in partnership, we can explore together what is troubling you or holding you back. I believe that you ultimately know what is right for you, and aim to help you to explore your difficulties realistically and with empathy and compassion, so that you feel better able to live your life as you wish.

I am also a Reiki Master and Pranic Healer and, if required, I offer these in addition to Counselling. Both are energy therapies which facilitate balancing of the body's subtle energies to bring about deep and profound healing of Mind, Body and Spirit.

Counselling really can help you to live a happier, more fulfilling life so please do contact me to find out more.

I also offer a unique set of workshops on the theme The Wonder of Life. There are various topics covered at each workshop and my aim is to provide a truly transformative experience using the healing power of nature, work with our Energy Body and the Chakras, food as a natural and powerful medicine, and mindfulness and guided visualisation to harness the wisdom of the unconscious mind. The workshops and information I share are the ideal antidote to a stressful or busy life, and are restorative and supportive, and the practices and learning can be easily incorporated into your daily life. The workshops each last approximately 5 hours with healthy snacks provided. Each workshop is available to groups of up to 4 people at a fee of £65 per person.

Previously I worked as a placement counsellor at the Colchester Sixth Form College, working with young people aged 16-19.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
