Hello, my name is Tracey and I am a professional counsellor with over 8 years experience. I am a integrative counsellor which means that I use different approaches, techniques and interventions. I use a variety of approaches including Person- Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis. I use inner child therapy that can lead to changes and healing. I believe that counselling can be a very empowering experience in helping you change and heal.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on thoughts, emotions, physical sentations and behaviours and teaches clients how each component can have an affect on the other. CBT can be used for a diverse range of issues including: depression, panic attacks and anxiety.
I offer a service that is confidential, warm and empathic. Sometimes clients don't know exactly what's wrong, but just feel that something isn't right. Talking with a counsellor can help resolve the underlying issues. I believe that building a professional relationship with the counsellor can be very rewarding. Counselling provides a caring environment and discover ways to move forward. I believe that any individual has the resources within them to find a way forward when a caring and non- judgemental enviroment is created for you. I am very passionate about my work and I am a warm and friendly counsellor.
I worked in a GP sugery for five years and have worked with a diverse range of issues; abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, low-self esteem, alcohol and drug dependency, gambling, bullying, work related stress, anger and child sexual abuse. I specialise in alcohol and drug addiction and have 12 years experience in this field.
