Ray Mansfield MBACP
Life presents many 'challenges' that can seem overpowering and difficult to deal with on one's own. My partner Carole and I (both qualified psychotherapists) find the range of 'Integrative Therapies' we employ, our 'tool kit' as it were, enable clients to work through those challenges, to discover for themselves a 'resolution' to the presenting issue. We also incorporate Mindfullness Practice, Meditation, Creative work through the written narative, art and music, Sandplay and symbol work, Holotropic Breathwork, Dreams, all these modalities encourage and assist in the movement towards self understanding and wholeness. Our counselling/psychotherapy training took place in Australia when we lived there, and this was further enhanced with further work in Holotropic Breathwork and Expressive Therapies. Later we were invited onto the staff of ETIA where we assisted in the Counsellor Training program both within Australia and Singapore. Working with adults and children (with referrals from organisations such as the Department of Families and Youth Support in Queensland), was really rewarding. When people, young and old, meet emotionally challenging situations it is often painful and difficult to move on and deal with the impact of those events. Having moved back to the UK some twelve years ago we are able to offfer our services to those in need.
