Virginia Taylor, Reg. MBACP (Accred), MNCS (Accred), FRTC
Hi, My name is Virginia Taylor and I specialise in short brief term therapy, integrating CBT, Coaching, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and a Corporate & Executive Life Coach. I have over 14 years experience of counselling individuals and couples, from all backgrounds and ages.
I have worked with over a 1000 clients presenting with a wide range of difficulties, personal and work related. I counsel and coach staff and lecturers at all levels from universities and large public organisation and also work for EAP's.
I specialise in short term counselling and have been very effective in helping clients achieve their desired outcomes and goals, often in less than 6 sessions.
My approach consists of integrating a number of counselling and coaching models, such as CBT, brief solution focused therapy, coaching, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, person centred counselling and transactional analysis.
My integrated approach, takes into consideration, the differing needs of each individual and has shown to be very effective with a wide range of difficulties, such as: depression, bereavement, panic attacks, work related difficulties, stress, anger management, abuse, addictions, confidence building, obsessive compulsive disorder and many more...
Clients are often surprised at how quickly they resolve difficulties, which they anticipated would require long term therapy.
How the sessions work?
Within the first two sessions, you will learn more about yourself, your behaviours, thought patterns and the root cause of your difficulties. We will then work on identifying the strategy most suited to help you resolve or better manage your situation. By the fourth session, you will be clear on what you want out of life and how to get it.
We will also look at barriers, such as negative thoughts, self limiting beliefs and unhelpful behaviours. The sessions will help you adopt techniques that will assist you in changing these unhelpful beliefs and behaviour patterns.
At the end of therapy, you will leave with a clearer sense of who you are, what you want in life and techniques to overcome any future challenges. You will leave feeling confident about taking on and facing new challenges and be clear about which strategies work best in different situations.
Because I am very passionate about the work I do, I can assure that I will give you my best and provide you with a highly professional and confidential service.
Give me a call. I really would like to help you, overcome difficulties and provide you with the support and help you need to live the life you truly desire.
