About me

Counselling, psychotherapy and supervision for adults:- Face to face sessions or online throughout the UK.

I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist who works in a variety of ways having some twelve years experience in Counselling, psychotherapy, supervision and mentoring in Devon. I offer a one-to-one therapy that will be different for each individual, depending upon their personal need. The Humanistic and integrative approach (incorporating analytical psychology/Jungian) to the development of the individual as a unique and whole being will be supported throughout the course of therapy. My work is tailored to my clients' needs and may incorporate working from a psychodynamic or psycho-analytic perspective.  I work with individuals and students and also able to provide supervision to practising counsellors.

Whether you are seeking assistance in working through an immediate crisis on a short term basis, or ready to embark on a longer journey towards finding your true self, I am able to work in any way which suits you. My work is client-led. In other words, it is entirely up to you as to how far you wish to 'travel' at any one time. A non-judgemental, safe, containing and facilitating environment is offered within my own therapy centre.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have undertaken several years training obtaining a Certificate in Counselling Skills, 2 years Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, and a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Healing with the Society for Psychology and Healing Practice (validated by Middlesex University), Diploma in Counselling Supervision, Certificate in Hypnotherapy, Certificate in Attachment Theory, Certificate in Couples Counselling. After several years working within a GP practice for the NHS, I currently work in private practice offering counselling, psychotherapy, CBT, hypnotherapy, dream therapy, tutoring, supervision, mentoring, etc.  In other words, I work with you according to individual need in a way that works for you as a totally unique individual.

As an accredited member of BACP, I adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
