Elise Wardle MA MBACP (Accred.), Counselling, Psychotherapy & Supervision
Counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples:-
I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist who works in a variety of ways having some twelve years experience in Counselling, psychotherapy, supervision and mentoring in Holsworthy, Devon. I offer a one-to-one therapy that will be different for each individual, depending upon their personal need or specifically tailored to couples experiencing relationship difficulties. The Humanistic and integrative approach (incorporating analytical psychology/Jungian) to the development of the individual as a unique and whole being will be supported throughout the course of therapy. My work is tailored to my clients' needs and may incorporate working from a psychodynamic or psycho-analytic perspective. I work with individuals, couples and students and also able to provide supervision to practising counsellors.
Whether you are seeking assistance in working through an immediate crisis on a short term basis, or ready to embark on a longer journey towards finding your true self, I am able to work in any way which suits you. My work is client-led. In other words, it is entirely up to you as to how far you wish to 'travel' at any one time. A non-judgemental, safe, containing and facilitating environment is offered within my own therapy centre based in Holsworthy, Devon.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have undertaken several years training obtaining a Certificate in Counselling Skills, 2 years Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, and a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Healing with the Society for Psychology and Healing Practice (validated by Middlesex University), Diploma in Counselling Supervision, Certificate in Hypnotherapy, Certificate in Attachment Theory, Certificate in Couples Counselling. After several years working within a GP practice for the NHS, I currently work in private practice offering counselling, psychotherapy, CBT, hypnotherapy, dream therapy, tutoring, supervision, mentoring, etc. In other words, I work with you, the client(s) with what you bring me and in the way you feel most comfortable (although possibly challenged at times).
As an accredited member of BACP, I adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I also hold membership of the Society for Psychology and Healing Practice and the Scientific and Medical Network.
