Dawn Haworth MSc. UKCP Registered & EMDR Practitioner
People may find themselves in situations not always knowing how they got there or how to change. What looks like unsolvable problems are not signs of weakness, they are often a sign of being strong for too long, and can be the catalyst for stress related ill health.
Our responses to traumatic incidents can be debilitating and life changing. Statistically civilian settings (such as: violence; motor vehicle accidents; robbery; sudden bereavement; suicide; severe accidents and incidents; etc) rather than the widely publicised armed combat, have the highest numbers of people who are likely to suffer from post traumatic stress or go on to develop post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). it is proven that face-to-face therapeutic interventions can significantly improve the speed of recovery and because of this I would like to help you.
Why Come to Me? I am fully qualified and registered to deliver counselling and psychotherapy with an MSc in Psychological Trauma. I have studied a range of therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, to help a wide range of people who had different experiences and symptoms.

Every person is unique and the timing of appointments reflects that. Some clients ask for weekly sessions while others choose to meet less frequently to fit in with work patterns, budgets or adapt to new behaviours before making additional changes.
Confidentiality and discretion are very important. Appointments are arranged and timed so that you won’t accidentally meet other clients arriving or leaving your sessions.
Counselling and psychotherapy is a long lasting investment in your happiness and wellbeing, and the cost of each session is often less than a night out. Therapy with Dawn is £80 per hour. Dawn delivers a full therapy hour, and asks you to allow additional time (but not money) for your appointment, because settling in and booking a future appointment is not included in the therapy hour.
You may find it useful to arrange a free 30 minute informal chat and a coffee before making a full appointment.
Your appointments may be free or at a reduced cost if you have private Healthcare Insurance with BUPA, AXA or AVIVA, please contact them for an authorisation number.

Supervision & training
