About me

I am a qualified counsellor and  have many years of experience working with people who have a wide variety of issues, I have worked in the NHS and currently work in private practice.

I offer Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) , Hypnotherapy, and EMDR ( Eye movement desensitisation and reframing) .

My clients are the most important people in my practice , I value their individuality, and I aim to offer them a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. Where they can explore any problems or issues that are an obstacle to them living their lives to the full.

I can help clients cope with issues such as anxiety, stress, relationship problems, work issues, low self confidence and self esteem, terminal illness, bereavement and many other issues.

CBT/Hypnotherapy-Can help people develop a more positive out look on life, and help in changing behaviour patterns, such as weight control, Smoking cessation, anger management, phobias and many other issues.

EMDR can help people who have suffered trauma and who are experiencing post-traumatic stress. It can also help people cope with anxiety and stress.

The aim of counselling is to work together in an open and honest way, to explore and identify problems and any issues that stop us from moving forward in life.It is about gaining self awareness looking at how we live our lives, the choices we make , so life becomes easier and more meaningful.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
