About me
If you are reading this then you are taking a brave step towards asking for help. Starting therapy can feel daunting but I am committed to helping you feel at ease so that you can talk freely about your difficulties.
I am an integrative counsellor with over 20 years experience. I offer a private, confidential space for individuals and couples to explore any personal concerns, including relationship difficulties, past trauma, depression, stress and anxiety, panic attacks, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem, work related issues, health issues, sexual and body image difficulties.
I do not believe in seeking to change the person you are as this would imply there is something wrong with you. My commitment is to help you move the internal 'obstacles', which we all collect over our lifetimes, out of your way, so that you may become more of who you truly are. I am a down-to-earth therapist and will challenge you appropriately and considerately with the sole aim to facilitate your self-awareness and personal development. My practice is respectful to all without discrimination.
Music Professionals *
I am experienced in working with people within the music industry and now provide ongoing therapeutic support to musicians while they are on tour. I work with individuals of diverse musical backgrounds, including classical and popular music genres. Being on the road is often emotionally exhausting as well as being a physically and mentally draining experience. Consistent therapeutic connection can be maintained and accessed via Skype, telephone (UK only) and email or a mixture of all three. Sessions can be arranged prior to or during tour dates, at a mutually convenient time and calculating time zone differences. Session fees can also be paid online. Many of my clients make use of this to keep the continuity of therapeutic contact when work/business/travel commitments would otherwise interrupt the flow. Face-to-face contact is resumed on their return.
Sports Professionals *
I am also a listed psychotherapist within the Professional Footballers' Association's nationwide network of counsellors. I am experienced in working with individuals who are struggling with the personal and professional pressures, past and present, which are inherent in the world of sport and in the life of the sportsperson, during and after their career.
I provide a bespoke service to all and this includes flexibility in contracts and ways of working. I offer online and telephone sessions to my clients, particularly those who experience physical difficulties in getting to the face-to-face appointments. For example, physical convalescing, agoraphobia, single parents with limited childcare options etc.
It is important that you find the right therapist for you so please feel free to email or call me with any questions you might have regarding my practice. We can have an informal chat about what you need from therapy before you make a decision to arrange a session.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
