Jane Chislett-Bruce MBACP (Accred) Individual and Couples Counselling
If you are feeling troubled by something whether it is a current difficulty or a concern from the past I can offer you a safe place to explore your feelings. I work with both indivduals and couples. Often when your worries and concerns are acknowledged they can be worked through and you can start to live a more enjoyable life.
I offer a confidential counselling service from a room set a side in my home. I work with adults either short term or on an open-ended basis. I am pleased to be able to offer an initial 30 minute meeting free of charge.
Our first meeting will enable us to get to know one another and decide if we are comfortable working together. It will also give us some time to think about what you would like to gain from your counselling and consider an appropriate time frame in which to work.
How I can help you
Sometimes past experiences impact on how we live now. Exploring your past can help you to understand your responses to situations now. A greater understanding can help you to make good choices for your future.
Although loss and change are inevitable, sometimes it can be devastating. I can give you the opportunity to work sensitively through your emotions and this can help you rebuild your life around your loss.
I can help you to unravel confusing thoughts and feelings. When people feel heard and understood they become more confident and are more able to find ways forward.
Relationships suffer for many different reasons. Often through exploration and a willingness to make some change, a valuable realtionship can be regained.
In my experience the most important thing is to feel at ease and comfortable with your Counsellor and the environment. I can provide a safe, non judgemental space for you to talk.
