About me
CORONAVIRUS:
Updated 06.11.20 Following Government legislation I am still offering Face to Face therapy. I have updated my furniture so that this can be disinfected between clients, I have a 6' sneeze screen, I have hand sanitiser available upon entry. There will be more time between clients so I can sanitise the room and ventilate the room, there will be fewer clients per day using the room. There is a separate entrance for clients and a 2 meter distance between yourself the client and myself the therapist. I will be wearing a face visor I will provide face masks and if in stock at the time I will provide visors if preferred? These will be for your own personal use and touched only by you and kept for you for the duration of therapy. I will not be offering refreshments so as to minimise contact so please bring your own and toilet facilities will not be available at this time.
I have provided Counselling and Hypnopsychotherapy from a designated area in my home since 2006 with ample parking at the side. I come from a Person Centred foundation however work in an integrative way depending on your needs at the time.
I have a Masters in CBT and feel this integrates well into achieving healing and change. Change can be quite scary however healing and growth can be exciting too, finding balance can be achieved in therapy thus providing a better quality of life and tools to help you cope in the future.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
