Lynda Anne Spain MBACP Accredited Counsellor And Supervisor
I am a person centered Senior Accredited Counsellor and Counselling Supervisor. I have extensive experience and have worked 25 years within the NHS. I have worked in private practice for the last 16 years. I am an Online & Telephone Certified Counsellor, offering telephone and video sessions, whilst face to face sessions are not advisable at the current time.
I offer warm, empathic and respectful counselling to adults who are experiencing stressful issues. I offer an initial assessment appointment to assess your needs and at the end of that appointment you will be able to decide if you wish for further appointments. I specialise in Bereavement, Grief and loss of any kind, and workplace stress.
I have extensive experience counselling clients who have suffered heart issues and who have undergone cardiac rehabilitation. Cardiac clients suffer psychological issues relating to loss. I also offer counselling to carers of those clients.
As a Senior Accredited Supervisor, I offer person centred, solution focused and cbt supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors. I supervise trainees, CfD supervision and IAPT models of supervision.
I see Corporate Clients, Employment Assisted Providers, individuals and teams/groups.
I am offering "walk and talk" therapy, side by side, socially distanced sessions, for clients who wish to be amongst nature for their therapy session. Details can be discussed over the telephone, regarding the various geographical areas which are available.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
