I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist.
I offer psychotherapy, psychosexual therapy and couples therapy, in my private practice in central London.
I am a bilingual therapist; I work in English and Italian, with individuals and couples.
I trained at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regents College, London. I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy (ADEP).
As part of my professional development I regularly take part in workshops, seminars, conferences and further training.
I have completed part 1, 2 and 3 of EMDR training, a method widely used in the treatment of traumas, and I am also a certified Mediator, with specific psychological skills in Conflict Resolution.
I come from a business background and this, together my life experience and clinical practice, makes me very much aware and sympathetic with the fast pace of contemporary life and all the consequent anxiety, fatigue and, at times, loss of direction that can be the result of a high profile career and demanding business activity.
I practice Existential Psychotherapy in order to facilitate my clients' growth, development and change, during young, middle and later stages of life. I believe that opportunities are plentiful and that therapy can help identify them and find pathways to improve the quality of ones life.
It is no coincidence that the subject of my dissertation was The Age of Opportunities? - a study of the transition into mid-life.
I approach my clients with respect and care and I draw from my personal experience in order to assess and set realistic goals. I have acquired extensive knowledge about different existential dilemmas and issues and I approach each client in a committed and personal way.
I listen and relate to my clients in a non-judgmental and non-directive way. I believe that the best therapy lies in a trustworthy and open relationship between client and therapist and that we always relate to each other as two human being who share the experience of being part of society and the world.
I have worked for more than four years at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for MacMillan as a Psycho-oncology therapist, dealing with cancer patients and their carers.
I provide psychotherapy in English and Italian, for individuals and couples.
