About me

I am an experienced qualified intergrative counsellor, supervisor and couples counsellor. My own core values of honesty & fairness are at the heart of my optimistic non-directive approach. I provide therapy in a humanistic-person-centred manner, also intergrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused and Psychodynamic theory & techniques within my work.

I believe achieving a therapeutic relationship between client & counsellor is paramount for the counselling process to progress. As you bring & share your issues, worries and hopes, I aim to provide the core conditions of respect, empathy & genuineness in the safe environment of my private consulting room. You will be listened to and your confidentiality respected.

We are all unique and experience difficult and challenging times in different ways, and knowing what to do and how to move forward if often difficult. I will aim to see your issue/s from your perspective and work with you at a pace that is right for you to bring about the changes or understanding that is important for you.
Telephone for a chat, or to book an initial consulation and I will listen to you and offer a confidential consultation to enable you to have that 45 minutes to discuss your needs and feelings.
Further sessions can then be booked on a weekly or fortnightly basis-its your needs that matter. We are all unique and sometimes need some help or direction.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Isolation - An issue for many clients at times of challenge and change.

Loss - Often effecting many of us in both home, family and work matters.

Self-harm - An issue that affects many in varying forms, I aim to look at the underpinning causes and work with you towards change and feeling in a better place.

Post natal depression - I have worked with many clients who have moved forwards in a positive way, who have often felt very isolated and confused at the first consultation. Perhaps fearful of not lifting the black cloud and being able to find themselves again.
