About me

Counselling/CBT/Hypnotherapy.  All sessions are online or telephone at present. Please call or email for details. Many years' experience in helping with stress and emotional issues. This includes anxiety, depression, relationship or family issues, over thinking, health anxiety, OCD, PTSD. I can help you overcome your difficulties and build confidence and optimism. Individual or couples sessions are available during the day or early evening.

Feeling sad or worried or exhausted? Is there something you are unable to put out of your mind? Are you finding it difficult to cope with your personal, family or work life? Maybe you are recently separated or divorced. If life is getting you down or you are feeling stuck, I can help.

Sessions focus can include:

  • talking about whatever is on your mind
  • finding ways to deal with your difficulties
  • resolving issues from the past
  • coping strategies
  • relaxation techniques
  • hypnotherapy if this is something you would like

I will listen to your concerns and support you as you talk over your problems and worries. We will work together on whatever is bothering you. Together we will find ways of helping you feel more at ease; resolving or coping with your present problems and putting problems from the past behind you.

Your confidence will improve and you will feel better about yourself and your life.

The only way to really find out how it will work for you is to come along and try it!

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
