About me

During the current CV-19 situation, I am only offering online therapy.

I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP.  I am also a Clinical Supervisor, Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist, EMDR Practitioner and a Clinical Hypnotherapist. I work at my private practice in Esher, specialising in Relationship & Psychosexual Therapy and Trauma.  In addition to my private practice, I work in the NHS.  I am an Integrative Practitioner and work in a very relational way and I will use whatever style of therapy I feel is best suited to my client and their particular needs. This means I aim to offer the best therapy for the individual rather than a particular style of therapy which is not always suitable for each individual client and their unique personal circumstances. I specialise in helping people to reach their true potential and achieve their goals. I am especially interested in working with people who experience work related stress and anxiety, bereavement issues, depression, relationship and family problems, anxiety attacks, phobias and many other issues. I help my clients overcome their issues and will endeavour to do all I can to help them to reach their goals.

As well as being a UKCP Registered Therapist, I am also a member of the BACP and a member of the College of Relationship & Psychosexual Therapy (COSRT) and have completed a PostGrad Diploma in Psychosexual & Relationship Therapy.  I specialise in Trauma Therapy and offer clients Trauma Focussed CBT and am an EMDR Practitioner.  I am also a Mindfulness Teacher.

I am listed with the following insurance providers, Aetna, Aviva, Axa PPP, BUPA, Cigna, Healix, Nuffield, and Vitality.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Mindfulness Teacher Training - Mindfulness Now
  • Certificate Supervision - Metanoia Institute
  • MSc Integrative Psychotherapy, Middlesex University
  • Clinical Diploma Integrative Psychotherapy, Metanoia Institute.
  • PostGrad Diploma Psychosexual & Relationship Therapy, London College PRT
  • Advanced Certificate Counselling from Kingston College.
  • Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy
  • NLP Master Practitioner

I have also undertaken a great deal of trauma work and have specialist skils in working with people who have experienced trauma and have completed Level II Training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) which is especially helpful when working with trauma and PTSD. I have also completed specialist training in bereavement counselling. I am UKCP registered and a member of COSRT (College Sexual & Relationship Therapy) and a Full Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

COSRT

College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

UKCP

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
