About me

Since 2008 when I qualified as a psychotherapist, I have worked with adults who find themselves struggling with many and various life issues, most of which have  emerged or become particularly problematic in middle age and at a point in their lives where they feel they should have 'grown up by now'.

If you are finding it difficult to 'be' you, and struggle with close family relationships, or if you receive criticism for being shut off or locked away, experience outbursts of anger, panic attacks, or unexplained anxiety, then I can help you.

I am trained in Integrative Psychotherapy which means I draw upon a number of theories and practices to help you feel more comfortable in yourself.  I have a particular interest in the impact that the early years of childhood have on later life and in your thoughts and ideas of the meaning of life and death.

I worked for many years in legal practice and as a workplace mediator and understand the impact that the pressures of life in the commercial world can have on individuals especially where the pressures result in conflict with others.

My style of working is relaxed and encourages you to explore your thoughts, dreams, fears and life experiences at a pace that suits you.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My therapy room is accessible by stairs or lift and is situated on the first floor of the Kington Medical Centre.
