About me

It is my belief that when certain key elements are missing in our relationships then personal growth is hampered causing internal distress.
In todays fast paced environment with its demands and stress, relationships both internally with self and externally with others may become severely affected and possibly effect our wellbeing emotionally and physically. As a therapist I aim to empathically provide a therapeutic relationship that will heal and enhance personal growth thus impacting on other relationships outside of the therapy room. I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and work in the Humanistic Person-centred modality.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy training Institute, qualifying with an MA in Humanistic Person-Centred Psychotherapy. I completed my Doctorate in Counselling Studies at the university of Chester. I am also qualified in counselling children and young people, and counselling couples.
I work creatively with adult survivors of incest and sexual abuse offering long term therapy. My work is based around dealing with trauma and the myriad of issues linked to abuse. My counselling experience includes working with clients within the prison system and also counselling young people in a secondary school setting.
My private practice is culturally diverse reflecting my background and style of working and I also work with issues based around multi-cultural experiences.
