Janice M Pearce
I am an accredited Therapeutic Counsellor. I have a beautiful counselling room over-looking a garden room, a peaceful place to feel safe in. My day time, evening and Saturday morning sessions include work with individuals and couples. My Accreditation is with the National Counselling Society, and I am a Proficiency Registered member of BACP.
I offer an integrative approach, drawing from my training (Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic including TA and Mindfulness) working with clients both privately and in the voluntary sector. I will provide counselling with a warm, non judgemental, professional approach. Confidentiality, ethical framework and principles kept to the high standards as set out by the BACP and NCS. Boundaries adhered to for protection of both client and counsellor.
Counselling will give you an opportunity to explore and discover, working toward your goals and empowerment. To develop healthy coping stategies to deal with what the world might throw at you. I will work with you in an informal way doing an assessment for the first visit to give you chance to discuss the counselling process.
I am also a Supervisor, working towards maintaining and enhancing good practice by Counsellors and practitioners.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
