About me

Currently offering online and telephone sessions...see me here

I've shared the stories of human beings in pain and anxiety for over 20 years. It is a privilege. I've worked with individuals, couples and families, with company directors, prisoners, politicians and ordinary members of the public. And I've realised it doesn't matter who we are or where we come from, we all hurt, aspire and have the capacity to overcome. Based near Guildford in Surrey, I provide counselling and psychotherapy to clients and supervision to other counsellors throughout Surrey and Hampshire.

I provide a confidential environment in which you can feel secure to share your problems. I have both the robustness to hear traumatic testimony and the professional skills, empathy, compassion and warmth that will help recovery.

My role is to support you and help you to help yourself. I won't make you say anything but I will be there for whatever you want to share with me. I won't tell you how to feel and I will not argue with how you do feel. And I will respect your privacy, dignity, autonomy and confidentiality at all times.

I have experience of providing counselling for a wide range of problems, including:

  • Abuse
  • Anxiety
  • Couples and family difficulties
  • Sexual and relationship difficulties
  • Addictions

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.
