Susan Boland (MBACP, NCS ACCRED.)
If you are finding yourself feeling out of sorts:
· Unable to sleep
· Not eating
· A feeling of fear or dread
· Thought storms
· Not socialising
and have been unable to pinpoint why, or perhaps knowing the reason but powerless to find your way back to who you are, perhaps it’s time to talk.
I can help you to explore what is going on for you, separate out the issue in order to see more clearly what is happening, and find yourself again.
With twelve years of experience working with work related stress, relationship issues, loss, anger and more, I am skilled in helping with the feelings that come with these issues whether it is anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or confidence. If you find it difficult to talk about your feelings I can help with that too.
Since qualifying with a Post Graduate Diploma in counselling, I have worked extensively in an Employee Assistance setting as well as my own private practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from Stirling University, a COSCA counselling skills certificate (Glasgow Caledonian University) I am an accredited member of The National Counselling Society and a member of BACP. I also work with EAPs delivering Psychological First Aid after Critical Incidents.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
