Online & Phone Psychotherapy:

I counsel individuals in private practice, and have experience of counselling for charities and an educational organisation. I work primarily as an Existential psychotherapist and counsellor, while integrating knowledge of other approaches such as CBT and Mindfulness into my practice.

The aim of existential psychotherapy is to help you clarify and reflect upon your situation. Through dialogue together we can discover what it is you feel you most deeply want and need, and put these discoveries into practice to help you make changes for a more rewarding life. Through the process of knowing and understanding yourself better, you can move from being stuck in a particular pattern of behaviour, feeling, or situation, to finding a way forward towards fulfilling your potential.

My role as your therapist offers you:
Emotional and practical support for your present needs
A non-judgmental listening ear
Honest and helpful feedback
New, objective perspectives on difficult concerns
Sensitivity to your cultural and ethnic origins, religious beliefs and sexual orientation.
Flexibility, adapting the therapy to suit your needs and circumstances

Telephone & Online Therapy
I can also provide psychotherapy by telephone, Zoom or Skype, which offers flexibility and continued support, whether you are at home or away.

Further information

What is the process of psychotherapy and counselling like?

One of the ways people try to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings is to ignore them, or lock them away inside themselves. Unfortunately this does not work, as we carry these feelings around within us, and the pain at the heart of them does not disappear. Psychotherapy and counselling encourages you to get back in touch with these feelings in a safe environment, and at your own pace. It is always your right to choose what you do and do not wish to discuss with me.

Psychotherapy & Counselling can help you cope with any difficulties you are experiencing. Exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive and confidential space leads to a better understanding of yourself and your situation. The process can enable you to see the choices you can make to find a more fulfilling way of life.
