A warm, insightful and experienced therapist I provide a non-judgemental, safe and supportive place for you to talk and be heard. I help clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, low self-confidence, depression, addiction, family issues, bereavement, relationship issues and sexuality.
There are times when life feels overwhelming and you may feel unsure how to cope. Our sessions will give you space to explore what you can do to get through these times. I'll support you to reflect on your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and talk about the issues that are preventing you from living the life you want.
Sessions will help you to disentangle yourself from things that are not serving you well. We'll clarify what you would like to develop and grow in your life and discuss strategies that will support you to make and maintain changes you would like.
We'll spend time exploring your inner dialogues and thinking patterns. As part of this process the role your inner critic plays in how you experience yourself, others and life will become clearer. Reflecting on the ways you think will help you to understand yourself more fully and new ways of being, thinking and doing will open up enabling you to manage your life and your mind better.
Your life experiences may be effecting how you feel and experience your life now. Exploring and making sense of your past can heal emotional wounds and help you to live your present life as fully and steadily as possible.
Being able to explore feelings of anger, fear and sadness with a nurturing person can be transformative. It can help move us through confusion, hopelessness and despair.
I see counselling as a creative and collaborative process. Together we'll work through what's going on for you and support you to gain new insights, increase your self-awarenesses and develop strategies that improve your well-being at a pace that works for you.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
