About me

I have been a senior manager in Further education,and I have developed and led counselling training. I have also worked in Higher Education as a student counsellor.I have  worked as a Care Manager in the field of addictions and housing.I am also a clinical supervisor.I also have extensive experience with EAP providers.I I am an integrative counsellor with 19 years experience in a variety of fields including schools, workplace,university,further education and voluntary organisations. My extensive experience as a manager  means that I also provide non managerial supervision which aids with reducing work stress and improving performance and working relationships. I also have extensive experience in suicide bereavement.I have also worked extensively with couples. I have over 20 years teaching experience in FE and with universities I have experience in child protection and risk assessment. I am also a qualified mediator.

Ma Hons 2/1, Diploma in Counselling and Supervision, Certificate in Supervision, Qualified Further Education Teacher,  Certificate in Mediation.I am also a Senior Bacp Accredited Counsellor.I work in an integrative way, using many approaches and techniques dependent on client's needs.I  am  BACP Accredited since 2004,I am now Senior Accredited.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

These vary depending whether it is telephone or face to face counselling. Face to face counselling is £40 per session, telephone, £35, supervision is £60 per session,couples £60 per session, I also offer discounted rates.

Wheelchair user access
