About me
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Counsellor
I am UKCP and MBACP Registered. The model I use is psychodynamic, which emphasises the importance of formative events and relationships - blueprints that are mainly hidden to us in everyday life. They influence our sense of who we are and inform the decisions we make. Occasionally a mismatch exists between what we want and what we find ourselves repeatedly doing. These discrepancies can emerge as feelings of anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence, low mood, a sense of isolation etc. It can leave us confused, uncertain, and fearful about the future.
I offer fixed-term psychotherapy and counselling to adults and couples
Examples of issues that may lead you to consider a talking therapy:
* Relationship issues
* Bereavement and loss
* Loss of meaning, direction or purpose in life
* Unhelpful patterns in relationships
* Low self-esteem or self-confidence
* Work-related stress or bullying
* Issues with food
* Anxiety
* Anger
* Depression
* Phobias
* Compulsive behaviour
* Identity problems
* Psychosexual difficulties
I am an SIHR-accredited supervisor and offer consultations to colleagues.
