Hi and welcome to my profile page.
All clients are different and come with a unique set of specific issues and concerns. I believe that the best way to respond to such diversity is with flexibility and openness, helping people to gain insight, overcome difficulties, developing resilience and new strategies to enable them to move on with their lives.
People enter into counselling or psychotherapy for many different reasons, you may be going through a difficult time and are looking for a supportive space in which to offload, explore and better understand your experience. Alternatively you may have a specific problem that you wish to address, e.g. relationship issues, depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, stress, etc. Drawing upon my training as an Existential psychotherapist, I also believe it important to consider the specific concern in the context of the individual's ongoing struggle to live authentically. In addition, the presence or absence of meaning, and the role of choice and responsibility are important factors to consider.
I am a fully qualified BACP Senior Accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist, practising therapy exclusively online. Online counselling and psychotherapy can be an effective and convenient way of accessing support in the midst of a busy life where there are often multiple demands upon our time and attention. I offer both short-term solution-focussed counselling and longer-term on-going psychotherapy. I work from an integrative framework, which in practice means that I adapt my approach to the needs of the individual.

UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
