Supervision details

As well as offering one-to-one supervision, I am a group supervisor at South Bucks Counselling in High Wycombe.  I have run CPD sessions for The Riverside Counselling Centre in Henley, most recently on 'thinking about and working with trauma'.  The opportunity to step back, and think about work in supervision is essential.  Whenever I take a question about my own work to my supervisor, I always learn and benefit from the opportunity to share the experience. I trained and have a Diploma in Supervision from the Society of Analytical Psychology, and I am a member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervisors (BAPPS). You are welcome to contact me if you would like to discuss supervision.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

There is one step up to my consulting room, and there is parking.
