Supervision details
As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, I have offered supervision in the NHS to a range of professionals, including counsellors, psychologists and psychotherapists, for almost 20 years. I have offered supervision to practitioners in my private practice over the last 6 years and currently supervise a number of counsellors and therapists in the UK. My supervision is informed by my training as a Clinical Psychologist, but also by my training as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. I am also a BPC accredited DIT supervisor and trainer and work as an Associate at the Tavistock Psychological Therapies Development Unit.
British Psychological Society
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
