Supervision details

I work as a supervisor at a Women's Counselling Service and am a registered supervisor for students at Metanoia. I trained in the 7 eyed model of supervision with Robin Shohet and Joan Wilmot at CSTD and have been supervising students and qualified therapists since 2014. In 2021 I did further supervisor training with CSTD at Diploma level. In supervision we pay attention to what is going on in the room between supervisor and supervisee and how that may relate to the client's presentation and needs. We consider bodily senses and how they may inform work with each client. I believe in supporting the supervisee to recognise where there may be resonance with her or his own material and how that may be safely validated and managed.I greatly enjoy working collaboratively with the therapist to give both the therapist and her/his clients a meaningful and healing therapeutic experience.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
