Supervision details

Are you looking for a BABCP Accredited/qualified CBT or ACT Supervisor?Mental health professionals often look for different things from supervision. You may be an experienced Counsellor looking to develop your skills in CBT / ACT or you may be a Practitioner employed in an organisation and you want to find an external supervisor. As a BABCP Accredited CBT Psychotherapist & Supervisor with a PG Certificate in Supervision, I have been able to supervise both trainees and qualified professionals for many years. I presently supervise students at the University of Birmingham CBT Programme where I am also a Teaching Fellow. I offer ACT supervision to practitioners wishing to develop their ACT skills. I am a peer-reviewed ACT trainer and I've trained over 1000 people in ACT at various levels. Please give me a call on Tel. 0121 523 1108 to discuss any supervisory requirements you haveI understand that it is important to find the right fit with a supervisor and the first meeting is an opportunity to see whether we can work together practically, professionally and personallyWhat kind of Supervision do I offer?Primarily, I believe in building a working alliance that allows practitioners to explore and reflect on a number of key areas including: The Client's Experience The Therapeutic Relationship Knowledge, Theoretical Understanding and Skill Development Professional Issues Therapist / Practitioner Well-being  Ethical Decision Making Organisational Issues

It is important to build in regular reviews so that we can reflect on your experiences of supervision. Planning for endings is also helpful so that you can openly discuss when you feel ready to move on and find another supervisor.  Seeking out a new supervisor every few years can help you develop new skills and enhance your practice. I offer both face-to-face and internet-based online supervisory sessions.  Online sessions take place using secure HIPPA compliant video conferencing. If you would like to discuss the possibility of setting up a supervisory arrangement within your organisation, please give me a call on Tel. 0121 523 1108 and I would be happy to talk through your requirements.
