Supervision details
I have been qualified in Supervision for 11 years and Counselling for 14 years. I offer a FREE 30 minute no obligation introductory call or zoom session to discuss your needs.
Choosing the right supervisor to work alongside you in your counselling career, counselling studies or helping profession, who will provide you with all the support and help you need to ensure you practice to the best of your ability and achieve your full potential and ambitions, is probably one of the most important yet difficult decisions to make. I know how important for my career having the right supervisor has been and how this relationship has enhanced my practice, my work and my development both professionally and personally.
My career has involved working in lead and managerial counselling and supervision roles with adults and children in schools, colleges, social services, charities and a successful private practice. I come with a wealth of knowledge, skills and training to share with you so that you are fully equipped in your counselling career.
I am totally committed to all my clients and supervisees and ensure to offer you the best service and support I possibly can. Our supervision sessions include client work, self care and personal growth, training, study support and the growth of your business and career.
My 30 minute FREE consultation gives you an opportunity to come along and meet me and discuss what your needs, hopes and expectations are from your supervision. This time also gives me an opportunity to explain in more depth the type of supervision I offer and answer any other questions you may have at this stage. You are under no obligation to commit to further sessions unless you feel comfortable and satisfied that I am the right supervisor for you.
My fees for 1 and half hours supervision is £45 for student counsellors and £60 for qualified counsellors and frontline staff. BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
