Supervision details
Therapeutic work is both rewarding and challenging. We sit alone with our clients, building relationship and engaging with some of the most complex and difficult experiences of life. To work effectively, safely and ethically we have to understand our own psychological processes, and develop a capacity for deep reflection and intellectual exploration. As a senior practitioner I am dedicated to the idea that we should encourage clients away from victimhood by empowering them to take control of their lives.
I began my psychotherapy training some years ago at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London, and later completed a training in integrative supervision. I also trained for some years in Dublin, and qualified with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, an American body-centred psychotherapy. This training especially, has both inspired and brought me right up to date with the latest theories in neuro-science and added a vital dimension to my holistic practice. My hope is that I provide a creative, collaborative and restorative space for practitioners at all levels and from all orientations of the profession, individually and in groups.
I offer Zoom sessions for those working at a distance from my practice or when attendance is difficult or impossible.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
