Supervision Profile
I am an experienced and qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor working in the Beckenham area. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred). I have experience of working with both adults and children and am experienced in working with both long term and time limited interventions. I have a diploma in clinical supervision and have experience of working with individuals and groups both privately and within agency settings. As a supervisor, I offer consultative support to supervisees in order to facilitate them gaining a broader perspective on their client’s issues and to enable them to reflect on their interactions and effectiveness with clients. I do not seek to judge but to facilitate reflection and new learning in a safe and boundaried environment. I supervise work with adults and children in both clinical and non clinical settings.
I follow the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s ethical framework.
I work with an integrative approach and am influenced by psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred values, and solution focussed brief therapy (SFBT). I have awareness of other theoretical approaches.
