Personal experience of counselling by Liz

7th June 2010

I'd never seen myself as someone who needed a counsellor. I thought I could cope. I was wrong. A year or so ago, when I had problems that I didn't feel I could share with friends, I started counselling. I wish I'd started years ago. Initially, it was an enormous help just to have someone to talk to. Now, my self-confidence is growing. I'm starting to understand why things have been the way they have. Most important of all, I'm beginning to see that there is plenty that I can do to prevent them ever being that way again. I can't recommend counselling enough.
