Considerations when working therapeutically online: process, practicalities and responsibilities.

This half-day CPD workshop is designed for practitioners considering what might be involved when working therapeutically online. It offers an introduction to the unique position online counselling holds and aims to include:

  • looking at the process in different online modalities
  • what skills might be different when counselling online
  • safety and contracting issues
  • what the professional guidelines say
  • our responsibility to data protection
  • the issue of further training.

Dr Carole Francis-Smith will also include helpful aspects of her doctoral research into ‘email counselling and the therapeutic relationship’.

The training includes refreshments, an email ‘handout’, a look at training resources and offers free parking at the venue.
