About Mindfulness

Mindfulness is based on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). MBCT is recommended by the UK’s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and can be as effective as drugs for preventing depression. But more importantly, it also works for the rest of us who aren’t depressed, but who may be struggling to keep up with the constant demands of the modern world.
Mark Williams – Professor of Oxford University and MBCT co-developer.

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present moment, using techniques like meditation, breathing and exercises. It helps us to become aware of our thoughts and feelings so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, feeling stressed and anxious, we are better able to manage them.

Anyone can learn mindfulness. It’s simple, you can practise it anywhere, and the result can be life changing.
