The mother-daughter relationship is an essential, powerful force in every woman’s life. When a woman understands more about her relationship with her mother and her daughter(s), she has the opportunity to develop a stronger sense of herself as an individual and a woman. - Geri Giebel Chavis.

Poetry therapy provides a unique opportunity for facilitating healing, growth and understanding. This workshop will be practical and experiential, we will focus on the relationship you have/had with your mother and not on parenting. Some mothers and daughters have great relationships and have a close bond, whilst others struggle.

Why is the mother-daughter dynamic such a complex one?

Come along to this workshop and utilise poetry and expressive writing as a tool for healing, self-discovery and an opportunity to explore your relationship with your mother, including her influences and expectations. You will gain an opportunity to develop a stronger, confident sense of yourself.

This workshop is experiential and open to everyone, no prior knowledge of poetry or expressive writing is required, just a willingness to share, reflect and experiment with words in a supportive environment.

Book early as places are limited.
