Based on the work of John Teasdale, Mark Williams and Zindel Segal, this course is designed to help you free yourself from depression and emotional distress.

  • Are you stuck in a rut of feeling bad, and feeling worse the more you try to feel better?
  • Do you feel like you go through life in automatic pilot?
  • Is your life controlled by your unconsious aversions?
  • Do negative thoughts lodge in your mind without being challenged?
  • Is it time for you to be kind to yourself?

Old habits of the mind can easily imprison us but mindfulness can open doors to new ways of thinking, being and relating. Simple shifts in perspective, especially when things are tough, can make a big difference.

Your handbook and CD are yours to keep and come with free downloads and suggest activities between sessions.

The course is supported self help and has the potential to offer therapeutic benefits as well as personal development.

The course leader, Keith Beckingham is a registered counsellor and can discuss one to one help if required. Life can be stressful. Mindfulness is one approach that has been found to manage the stress we cannot avoid, avoid the stress we inflict upon ourselves and be open to appreciate and enjoy the good things of life.

MBCT has been proven effective in clinical trials throughout the world. This course with the book, CD and downloads will guide you step by step along the path of change, and participants will have the added opportunity to encourage one another. Trying to make changes by yourself can be lonely and frustrating. Working in a group with activities to do between sessions is a tried and tested approach to meaningful change.
