Pennie Aston from Specialist Dyslexia Aware Counselling Charity – GroOops, will be giving a presentation on “The Eight D's of Dyslexic Well-being” on Tuesday 2nd June.

Much about living with dyslexia is to do with someone else providing an often costly service in the form of software, skills training, psychological assessments and even counselling. This presentation addresses what we can do for ourselves to allow us to reach our optimum sense of self? What can we do as individuals and as part of dyslexic community to achieve a robust sense of purpose, meaning and acceptance in our lives?

Topics covered in this interactive presentation will be:

  • Dyslexic dilemmas.
  • Dyslexic dramas.
  • Dyslexic DVD.
  • Dyslexic discussion.
  • Dyslexic do’s.
  • Dyslexic don’ts.
  • Dyslexic identity.
  • Dyslexic delight.
