Teachers case discussion group
You are invited to become a member of a case discussion group for teachers working together to reflect on and discuss aspects of teaching and learning that concern us.
Based on the work of Michael Balint with GPs and on group analysis, the group will have a maximum of 12 members. It meets monthly during term time in a space that is supportive and confidential, to consider situations that may trouble or puzzle us.
The facilitators are a teacher and a group-analytic psychotherapist. They help focus the discussion on understanding pupils as well as the emotional responses to them. By reflecting on the challenges teachers face, the aim is to better understand ourselves and those we teach, to provide a richer education for them and a more satisfying working life for ourselves.
If you would like to join or have any questions about the group, please contact Joan Fogel (firstname.lastname@example.org 07887545703) or Phil Hills (Philhills@gmail.com 07919444916). We look forward to hearing from you. Phil Hills writes about the group at: https://philhills.wordpress.com/2015/11/05/teachers-case-discussion-group/
