Stories of our lives

What are the known stories and narratives in our lives? Are there familiar roles, patterns and storylines we repeatedly live out? What are the lesser known roles we might want to inhabit more?

The women's therapy group is a weekly group for up to six women. The group will give a chance to share and explore experiences, feelings and thoughts about ourselves and our lives. It gives the opportunity to relate with others and gain insight and understanding about yourself. We will use drama therapy and creative arts techniques to explore and work with themes in the group.

How will it be helpful to me?

By developing greater awareness and understanding of ourselves, it can support living more fully and with more choice in how we live. The group will help find ways to be aware of our emotions and develop a language to express them. It will be a space to explore and experience trust and communication. It will be a space to develop confidence and to think about how we value ourselves.

The terms

You will be invited for two individual sessions prior to starting the group to see if it is an appropriate group for you. This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and explore joining the group.

Enquiries and individual sessions are taking place now.

I am an HCPC registered dramatherapist. I have been working with groups and individuals since 1996 and have always sought ways to enable people to express themselves safely. I have often found that the arts can provide a powerful and moving language to help people understand themselves and understand their relationship to others.
