Social anxiety and confidence building support group
Social anxiety often has it's roots in a lack of self-confidence and self-esteem, both of which are often referred to as the same.
The difference can be difficult to explain, but often a person lacking in confidence can still possess an inner belief that are capable of achievement - they simply lack the confidence to go ahead and achieve their desires.
On the other side of the coin there is the person who has a lack of self-belief: this person can often be seen to be achieving things - on the outside they will have confidence - however on the inside they have a feeling of 'waiting to be found out'... they have the confidence to try, but they lack the belief that they 'can' - even if there is strong evidence to show that they have been successful.
One and/or both can result in social anxiety.
The inside out support group identifies that both a lack of self-esteem and/or self-confidence are very different, but have their roots in our belief systems.
It can often feel lonely and isolating to lack confidence and/or self esteem, you might isolate yourself from friends, family, and work which only makes it feel as if things are getting worse. The support group can offer a lifeline of support and insight for anyone who suffers from these feelings.
Knowing that you are not alone and sharing your experiences whilst hearing about and supporting others is an important part of change it allows you to build your confidence and self esteem as you support others who are trying to do the same.
This a monthly group and the cost is £20 per month.
You can join the group at any time - please contact me for details.
