Sleep better, feel better workshop
Learn how to improve your sleep by joining us for our first ever sleep workshop. The workshop will be delivered by Dr. Ruth Danielle Wilson who is an HCPC registered clinical psychologist and a specialist in CBT-i (cognitive behaviour therapy for insomnia).
CBT-i is a safe and effective intervention for improving sleep in people with chronic insomnia.
Difficulty sleeping can be a source of huge frustration for many people. It can worsen the experience of existing emotional and physical health problems, and can also be a contributing factor in the development of anxiety and depression. Improving sleep can result in improved mood and better well-being.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How and why we sleep.
- How our brains can help or hinder sleep.
- What is "normal" sleep.
- How to re-establish a consistent sleep/wake pattern.
- Using relaxation and mindfulness strategies to manage tension.
- How to deal with a racing mind.
- Helpful lifestyle changes that can aid better sleep.
- How to increase the amount of time you spend sleeping.
The cost of the workshop is £35 per person and the workshop will be held at our Sunderland base which is at St. Peter's Gate near to the National Glass Centre.
