Self-Care in work and life
The Foundation for Emotional Therapeutic Counselling is delighted to invite you to a workshop on Self Care which awards 6 CPD Points.
In the morning session Michael Kent, Kinesiologist, will present a number of effective ways to help us “keep it all together”. You will return home with many extra tools to help you on your personal journey and in your work with other people.
“From this constantly expanding research there has emerged many self-help tools that can assist us. These tools provide ways to reduce the impact that people’s emotions have on us. Every day we are effected by our contact with other people. Their feelings, reactions and behaviours have an impact on us. Some interactions lift us up and others touch the vulnerabilities within, and drag us down. This is particularly so when we work with many people as a therapist. But the good news is that from the research in Kinesiology, there are strategies that can keep us in a place of better balance, and as a result we can help others more.”
In the afternoon session Dr Andrew Tresidder, Somerset GP, will introduce a framework of understanding how Bach Remedies influence our Software Being System (not our hardware body).
“It seems that Flower Remedies can act as some of the tools that help support effortless personal development by catalysing internal changes in ourselves. As such, they are of value for personal use”.
Andrew will cover Bach remedies, and introduce some of the many others from around the world, in particular Yarrow, a valuable one that helps highly sensitive people understand boundaries.
If you would like to attend please do not hesitate to contact me.
