SEAcotherapy three-night retreat in Devon
What is SEAcotherapy?
Seacotherapy is the term we use to combine mindfulness-based nature connectedness near water (in this case... along the ocean's edge) with the provision of other coastal activities.
Research evidence (Blue Mind, Wave Project, Surf Action, PTSD Therapy and Blue Gym) is accumulating which suggests that being near the ocean makes people feel healthier, happier and more satisfied. We therefore combine the evidence-based talking therapies or mindfulness-based practices and workshops, provided by our psychologist whilst totally immersing our senses in the properties of the ocean, providing a holistic seacotherapy experience. Activities also include yoga, coastal walks, craft activities in small groups. All delicious meals are sugar-free and prepared by the Holistic Chef.
What to expect
Three-night SEAcotherapy retreat in a luxury Devon cottage near Salcombe, with its own cove and beach. Also included... all food - delicious cuisine prepared by the Holistic Chef (French Laundry and Gidleigh Park trained chef!), mindfulness-based nature-connection activities and health/well-being talks with Dr Victoria Galbraith, yoga, use of salt-water heated indoor swimming pool, and free time to soak up the beautiful Devon coastline.
We aim to cater for individual needs and will provide various therapeutic/mindfulness-based practices, workshops and/or creative activities as appropriate; and we aim for these sessions to take place on the beach (weather and tide dependent).
We aim to provide you with the tools necessary to continue this journey on your return home, with optional Skype follow-ups as necessary, and you can expect to feel energised, empowered and inspired to continue to maintain and enhance your personal development following your retreat
The venue for our retreat is the Ocean View Cottages at Soar Mill Cove, Devon (near Salcombe). Prices based on sharing a twin/double room with friend/partner or other retreat guest. The retreat is limited to eight guests.
